STEP 1: After having developed the design and the perforated pattern, the incision of the pattern takes place.

STEP 2: Filling of the caved parts with the paddy made of colored scagliola (meschia=selenite powder mixed w/pigments and natural glues). It is inserted with spatula or by pouring liquid scagliola to imitate the veins of the stones.

STEP 3: Smooth the surface with the water lapping machine to remove all the surplus parts of the scagliola .

STEP 4: Stucco in the convenient colours to avoid porous in the scagliola.

STEP 5: After having smoothed again the parts coated w/stucco, according to the type of decorations, the cycle of incision, sealing and smoothing may be repeated more than once. At the completion af all steps, the surface may be shined by applying wax or other protective transparent coating.
